The Hua Hin Jazz Festival has got underway over in Asia this week, the ninth consecutive year it has taken place.
From June 18th to the 20th, people on Thailand holidays will be able to enjoy live music on the beach by the InterContinental Hotel Hua Hin and Centara grand Hua Hin, featuring famous artists from around the world.
In all, 30 jazz artists will be taking to the stage over the three days, including The Thailand All Stars Big Band, Jimmy Haslip, Eric Marienthal, The Brass Munkeys and American guitarist Lee Ritenour, the Bangkok Post reports.
Chairman of the festival’s advisory committee and former deputy prime minister Suwat Liptapanlop noted that this year’s event has a theme of Jazz for the King, in order to celebrate the “glorious musical talents” of the leader.
“The organisers have added a number of features that distinguish it from previous years,” he continued, adding that those on Thailand holidays will hear some of the king’s compositions that are to be performed by a few eminent Thai musicians.
