Snooker may not be the number one activity many associate with Asian vacations, but this could be about to change as Bangkok attempts to become the continent's main sporting hub.
And those on Thailand holidays next month may be able to see some action first-hand, as the country's capital plays host to the Snooker World Cup.
The event is being held at the Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, which is large enough to accommodate sizeable crowds keen to catch a glimpse of some of the game's biggest stars, Breaking Travel News noted.
Those competing at the gathering will include the world's best players, such as Mark Williams, John Higgins and Mark Selby.
Proceedings will get underway on June 11th, with match play continuing through to the 17th.
After taking in the championship, holidaymakers may be keen to explore other parts of the nation – and Things To Do In Thailand recently recommended Pattaya as great for those on a budget.
