Hotel chain opens largest hotel in Asian operations
Holidays to Hong Kong may now be spent at the new Courtyard by Marriott Shatin hotel – the largest accommodation facility in the chain’s Asian operations – which is located in the New Territories district of the special administrative region of China.
The location of the new hotel, which is the second in the Courtyard franchise to be unveiled in Hong Kong, was selected due to the close proximity to business, commercial and cultural attractions that help shape many travellers daily activities when visiting the region.
The sheer scale of the latest opening is impressive with the Courtyard Shatin second on the list of largest accommodation by rooms in the brands worldwide operations which comprises a whopping portfolio of more than 900 hotels.
Courtyard Shatin comprises 539 contemporary-styled guest rooms and suites and for some, they can enjoy spectacular views of the Shing Mun River from the comfort of their individual retreat.
President and Managing Director of Marriott International Asia Pacific, Simon Cooper said “We are delighted to be opening the largest Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Asia, an extraordinary addition to the brand’s global portfolio.
“I would like to thank our partner in this hotel, the Nan Fung Group, for their support in granting us the opportunity to manage such a magnificent hotel and we look forward to a long partnership with them to ensure the ongoing success of this great hotel.”
Another impressive centrepiece to the new Courtyard Shatin is the hotel’s vast lobby that features complimentary Wi-Fi as well as GoBoard 4.0 technology – an interactive 55-inch LCD touch screen which depicts weather forecasts, maps and breaking news.
