Hansar Hotels plan Thai expansion

Hansar Hotels and Resorts has unveiled plans to launch a major expansion of its portfolio, which will come as good news for those looking to experience luxury accommodation during a holiday to Thailand.

The hotel management company currently operates two luxury properties, located in Koh Sumui and Bangkok. They have now revealed they plan to open a further three hotels across Thailand over the next 18 months.

Two new boutique hotels are set to join the Hansar portolio – the 24-room Hansar Pranburi, in Thailand’s Gulf coast province of Prachuap Khiri Khan, and the 39-room Hansar Khao Yai, close to Khao Yai National Park in northeast Thailand.

Both are set to be joined by the Hansar Cha-am before the end of 2014. Also situated on the Gulf coast, this is set to be the largest of the company’s portfolio, with 104 rooms in total.

“Hansar is extremely proud to focus our local expansion within Thailand as they feel it has so much to offer in regards to exceptional service, hospitality and absolutely beautiful destinations,” the company said in a statement, adding that the three new properties will all feature “unique, tasteful design features… integrated into the culture and locale of the hotel”.

All three new hotels are set to be independently owned and operated, having recently been acquired by Hansar. The 94-suite Hansar Bangkok and 74-room Hansar Sumui have so far enjoyed tremendous success.
