Experience Khao Lak on Thailand holidays
People considering a holiday in Thailand may like to visit Khao Lak, just one hour north of Phuket.
According to Erin O'Dwyer, writing for Stuff.co.nz, the area is a "perfect" place for getting away.
She describes the "deserted" 11-km beach, as well as five national parks and five golf courses in the region and the town centre has an array of new four and five-storey buildings.
And people on Thailand holidays can venture to Takua Pa, a "small and humble village", which has timber shops and two cafes.
Moreover, Ms O'Dwyer observed that the real attraction of the area is the Similan Islands, surrounded by "spectacular coral reefs".
"The islands' dive sites regularly rank in the world's top ten but the shallow waters make them great for beginner divers and snorkelers," she added.
Those who fancy a trip south may like to check out Phuket, where Nigel Thompson, writing for the Mirror, said people can relax during the day and be entertained at night.
